Mechanization Challenges for Harvesting of Paddy at the Flash Floods Areas in Bangladesh

Soil and water sensing, phonological monitoring, meteorological data, GIS and remote sensing using satellite could have the potential for implementing an early warning system in this area.

Rapid assessment of yield forecasting method for paddy in the flash flood areas and the scheduleoptimum harvest time before the flash flood occurs. Lightweightmachinery couldbeused for the wetland in hoar areaswill be explored to harvest paddy in a short time.

Early warning could help to find the best acquisition and utilization of flash foods to ensure the food and nutritional security. Regular Satellite and Micro-satellite have the opportunity to monitor climate change. And precision soil sensing and water management using precision agronomics will act as the early warner to optimize utilization of bio-resources and environment.
